I decided to bump what I had written for today to next Monday due to certain events taking place yesterday that cannot go unanswered.
President Obama yesterday came to my home state of Florida to speak to NASA about his decision to cancel the Constellation program and his
vision for the future of space exploration. I'm not going to mince words on this.
To paraphrase "I expect we will visit an asteroid or perhaps Mars in the next 25 years of so". Is that a goal? Did he make that up on the spot? It
wouldn't surprise me at all considering how much time he spends figuring out how to socialize more and more of the economy.
That speech was just the appetizer before the main course. Yesterday was tax day and Tea Party rallies were going on all over the country.
Obama gave a speech at a Democrat fund raiser in Florida and felt the need to give his opinion on these rallies.
"So I've been amused in recent days by these people having rallies," he told the crowd at the fund raiser to laughter. "I think they should be saying thank you." -
Obama says the anti-tax movement actually owes him a thank you.
My response to comes from the Grinch, "The Audacity!, the unmitigated gall!"
For just one second Mr. President can you please stop playing games and talking to us like stupid children. Amusement is what I would expect
from a dictator or a king when the people rise up in protest. Ha ha, the commoners are so amusing with their little rallies and silly
signs. Don't they know I'm bribing, I mean giving them tax rebates to keep them happy. Sure, those who work hard are paying for those
bribes, I mean tax rebates but they can afford it. It's only fair after all. You can't expect everyone to work hard.
Your right, tax rates on most people have not been raised and tax credits were part of the stimulus plan. What did they do? They
increased the amount of people who pay no tax from 40% to 47%. In fact many people who already paid no taxes got a tax rebate. I call that
What you fail to acknowledge despite it being shouted at you every day is that the massive increase in spending YOU CREATED is going
to have to be paid for eventually. We don't want the things your spending our money on and we don't want you giving our money to people
who don't contribute anything. We don't want any more tax credits. Bush started with the tax rebates and it was wrong then and it is wrong now.
We know higher taxes are coming. In order to pay for the massive spending you would have to tax the rich, people making $250,000 a year and
higher, in the ballpark of a 90% tax rate. We know that's not going to happen, it can't happen.
The only way to pay for the massive expansion of government is for everyone's taxes to go up. For some it will be income taxes, for many
more it will be energy and health care taxes. There is more and more talk of a VAT tax (national sales tax) that would effect everyone. An
additional 50 cent/gallon gasoline tax is being discussed.
The New York Times did a study of Tea Party members and found them to be more educated and of a higher income than the population in general.
They really didn't need to do a study to figure that out. Anyone who is intelligent and has a stake in the game knows they are about to be
punished with increased taxes to pay for Obama's New Raw Deal. Why would the uniformed and those too poor to pay taxes care about out of
control government spending?
